    James Nachtwey

    James Nachtwey grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Dartmouth College, where he studied Art History and Political Science (1966-70). Images from the Vietnam War and the American Civil Rights movement had a powerful effect on him and were instrumental in his decision to become a photographer. He has worked aboard ships in the Merchant Marine, and while teaching himself photography, he was an apprentice news film editor and a truck driver.

    In 1976 he started work as a newspaper photographer in New Mexico, and in 1980, he moved to New York to begin a career as a freelance magazine photographer. His first foreign assignment was to cover civil strife in Northern Ireland in 1981 during the IRA hunger strike. Since then, Nachtwey has devoted himself to documenting wars, conflicts and critical social issues. He has worked on extensive photographic essays in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza, Israel, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, the Philippines, South Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa, Russia, Bosnia, Chechnya, Kosovo, Romania, Brazil and the United States.

    Massimo Gammacurta is a still life conceptual photographer and multimedia artist based in New York.

    Conceptual still life photographer Massimo Gammacurta was born in Rome, Italy. Influenced by the futurist art movement, the graffiti culture, and Fellini and Pasolini films, he has shot stills and portraits for a host of publications and advertising such as Details, Forbes, Style Montecarlo, XXL, Nike, Lexus, Wieden & Kennedy, and Surface Magazine.

    Nicholas Duers

    Nicholas Duers is a New York city based still-life photographer, specializing in fashion accessories,beauty products as well as luxury goods. he earned his degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and currently operates out of his photo studio in midtown Manhattan.

    His work has been recognised by Graphis, Art Directors Club, Surface Magazine, Advertising Photographers of America, Int’l Photography Awards, Photo District News, Prix de la Photographie, Racie Awards and the London Photographic Awards, among others.

    Sam Kaplan

    Sam Kaplan, New York City based still-life photographer, was born and raised in Boston.

    He received a B.A. from Wesleyan University, in studio art and art history. Sam studied both conceptual sculpture and traditional photography.

    Through commercial photography Sam is able to exercise his two favorite skills – creative problem solving and conceptual thinking.
    Kaplan understood early on that a successful career isn’t just about taking a great photo; it’s about marketing. A look at his website and other promotional material clearly defines where he’s coming from as a photographer.

    Sam Yocum

    Sam Yocum was born in Texas on a working ranch, as a young boy with camera in-hand he’d ride across the fields shooting pictures of anything that caught his eye. Encouraged by his aunt and uncle, who were fashion photographers in New York, he was shooting proficiently and by age 13 was published, establishing a life-long passion with fashion and beauty photography.

    Today he continues to explore new areas of creativity, and has recently begun directing, bringing his clean, timeless beauty touch to motion. Based in New York City, Sam is known for taking an agency’s creative concept from beginning to completion by producing stunning photographs that create the lead visual branding needed in today’s competitive market. He has worked on multiple re-branding projects with great success for various premiere brands & this work has won multiple awards in various international competitions including the Chicago Athenaeum, ID, Smithsonian Design, Step Inside Design, AltPick and; has been featured in Lurzer’s Archive. His list of celebrities he has worked with includes CEO’s and prominent industry individuals.

    Sally Mann

    Sally Mann is an American photographer, best known for her large black-and-white photographs—at first of her young children, then later of landscapes suggesting decay and death.

    Sally Mann (born in Lexington, Virginia, 1951) is one of America’s most renowned photographers. She has received numerous awards, including NEA, NEH, and Guggenheim Foundation grants, and her work is held by major institutions internationally. Her many books include Second Sight (1983), At Twelve (1988), Immediate Family (1992), Still Time (1994), What Remains (2003), Deep South (2005), Proud Flesh (2009), and The Flesh and the Spirit (2010). A feature film about her work, What Remains, debuted to critical acclaim in 2006. Mann is represented by Gagosian Gallery, New York and Edwynn Houk Gallery, New York. She lives in Virginia.
